Coretta Scott King goes to the Promised Land

In the news right now; she died in California.

RIP. What a life she had.

If Heaven exists, it’s my bet that there’s an awesome party there right now.

I presume The Family will now trademark her name and copyright all her utterances.

The OP will have to pay a few bucks. I’ve been kinda keeping up with what’s been happening in Atlanta and the MLK center. Shameful, to say the least.

She always struck me as incredibly dignified and I’m glad to see that her passing after her recent illness was apparently quick and without discomfort.

I guess we’re of a time where we’ll be losing many of those active in the civil rights movement. I’m sure a great deal of reflecting will occur over that period, what’s been gained, what’s left to accomplish and who up to the task.

The first thing that popped into my head is that the children can now sell the MLK to the folks at Dollywood and cash in (a Stone Mountain reference).
