Corey Lewandowski tweets the NYT story about the Manafort/Russia connection:

Nothing quite like the sound of crumbling of your fellow man.

Trump is learning the hard way why politicians should never, ever fuck with reporters from major media companies by threatening to cut them out of a campaign information loop. They will get their information anyway - it just might take them longer. But when they do finally get the scoop, they’ll be damn sure to report what they want, and how they want.

Good, this eats up at least another week of news that Trump has to respond to, probably with poorly worded tweets.

I just hope that the story is big enough that consequences will happen. I think a resignation is reasonable, jail time would make me too happy but unfortunately it usually doesn’t come to that.

He also gets paid by the campaign every time he flies anywhere on his plane. Explains why he flew from NYC to Cleveland and back every day of the convention.

I am now beginning to wonder if Donald won’t perhaps consider quitting. If he does, I seriously doubt he quits until after the debates and maybe with a few days before the election – one last middle finger to establishment republicans for the road.

Manafort openly worked for the (then) ruling party of Ukraine, and presumably was paid for said work, so that’s not really in question. The issue here is whether he received off the books, cash payments. That would presumably indicate that he was providing services beyond normal campaign consulting he awknowledged. And one suspects you don’t get paid millions in physical cash, with the only record being a hand-written leger, if the payer, payee or both aren’t up to something sketchy.

If I was Manafort, I’d have secretly pushed Lewandowski to release that story. Then I’d have cover to exit Trump’s abomination of a campaign and restore Lewandowski to his rightful place on his knees in front of Trump’s trousers. Then go back to making money the easy way, slummin’ with the Russians.

Interesting tidbit from that Washington Post story:

Oh oh. More people are digging into Manafort now. I wonder if we’re going to hear who is really behind the hacking of the Democratic Party servers.

I am sure every possible angle to pay Trump’s businesses from Trump’s campaign fund is being used. When Trump has dinner at his own golf course, you’d better believe he’s paying top dollar on campaign expense, and the Trump golf course is probably charging a massive “gratuity” or “Service fee” on top.

If there is a way Trump can siphon money from other people, he’s going to do it.

I, for one, hope he stays in this as long as possible. While I used to find his existence an offense to all decency and reason, I’ve slowly come around to enjoy it for the flaming buffoon wreck that it’s become.

Trump is famous for structuring payments to himself from companies he owns, for consulting with himself about his own business. Of course, after sucking all the money out, he then declares bankruptcy for the business, leaving others to pay the price. He’s made out just fine though.

This is how he does business. That, and screwing small suppliers out of money owned by threatening them.

Sorry, the wizards (grand lot that they are) are all busy generating twitter memes for the Trump campaign.

he HATES to stay anywhere that he doesn’t live. he’s a total germophobe, and refuses to stay in hotels whenever possible

Yes, it’s true that Trump is a documented germaphobe. He wrote in his 1997 book, “The Art of the Comeback,” that shaking hands is “one of the curses of American society. … I happen to be a clean hands freak. I feel much better after I thoroughly wash my hands, which I do as much as possible.”

… by combing through racist sites and David Duke material for crap to re-post…

Wow. Now I can see the election being Trump’s version of the Spruce Goose and emulating Howard Hughes by retreating into isolation after his massive election fail.

Well, with hands as small as his it wouldn’t be hard for a few germs to gang up on them.

He could just wear kid gloves when shaking hands. Not the material- the size.

That explains his disgust with Clinton using the bathroom.
I wonder if he employs wipers so he doesn’t get his hands anywhere near… his whatever.

If I’m Hillary I’d be tempted to whisper after shaking his hand to start the debate “hey, I just went to the bathroom and didn’t wash my hands!”

And a CGI version of Hunter Thompson playing Uncle Duke playing Manafort.
