In positive news, a California physician, Simone Gold who joined the mob storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021 has been sentenced to two months in prison.
“Gold founded America’s Frontline Doctors, a group known for purveying Covid-19 misinformation. The Beverly Hills-based doctor, a Stanford Law School graduate, has over 480,000 followers on Twitter. She has condemned Covid-19 lockdowns and promoted the use of unproven and potentially dangerous drugs as coronavirus treatments.”
“The judge told Gold that her anti-vaccine activism wasn’t a factor in her sentencing. Cooper said Gold wasn’t a “casual bystander” on Jan. 6.”
“The judge also said Gold’s organization has misled supporters into believing her prosecution was politically motivated and trampled on her free speech rights. Cooper called it “unseemly” that America’s Frontline Doctors has invoked the Capitol riot in raising money, including for her salary.”
“I think that is a real disservice to the true victims of that day,” he said."
Gold, according to the prosecution, has been making $20,000 a month from her organization, America’s Frontline Doctors, so she can probably afford the $9500 fine. Her credentials should help her land on her feet after this temporary setback.

Bullshit anti-Covid-19 vaccine memes continue to pop up, like monkeypox pustules (sorry for the mixed disease metaphor).
The latest is a story being promoted on completely reliable* websites like Natural News, above top secret and 4chan, about “three (or four) young Ontario doctors” supposedly dropping dead within a week of unknown causes - gotta be due to Covid vaccination! (though there’s zero evidence they were vaccinated recently).
As to the “young” doctor part, I tracked down the actual ages of these M.D.s. One was in his mid-40s, another around 50 and a third had to be in his mid-60s based on his educational profile, not to mention having a white beard. I guess “young” is relative. One seemed to be in his mid-30s which is indeed young from a mortality standpoint, but people that age do pass on without warning from cardiac or other causes having nothing to do with vaccination, including Covid-19 infection.
Thanks for posting about those two studies. I remember seeing them when they were pre-prints, and discussing them on some of the lab-release threads. Quite an endorsement from the scientific community to have them published in Science. Seeing as how there was a 9-10 month delay from being in pre-print to published, my guess is that whatever is in the final article has been thoroughly vetted.
Also, good job to the author of the Yahoo article, who actually linked to the original articles. So often science journalists forget that part.
The CDC in the U.S., little by little, is nudging America into a couched post-COVID society. Still not 100% risk-free, but close enough to that ideal so that the onus of COVID safety is placed more squarely on the individual than ever before.
I’m cranky that they are still saying “5 days”, and not “until you get a negative rapid test” or at least “10 days”. I know an awful lot of people who were still positive after 5 days, some with VERY strong antigen reactions.
The above should read " … into a hedged post-COVID society". In the sense that the CDC is not quite recommending to “go crazy like it’s 2019!” … but secretly, they wouldn’t be mad if we did.
I had a strong antigen reaction 8 days after my first positive test. I barely had symptoms to begin with but they had been resolved for several days. I assume I was still contagious at that point.
