Cory Wells (3 Dog Night vocalist) has died.

CNN link.

Died at home at age 74. He had a good run.

He’s on the road to Shambala

Sure as I’m sittin’ here.

Gloom To The World

Oh, I so enjoyed them back in the day. I think I’ll go listen to Pieces of April in his honor.

RIP Cory. You filled my dreams when I was young.

Oh darn it, now I’m crying.

I never could keep these three faces straight in my mind.Chuck Negron did interviews about heavy heroin use and being homeless. He cleaned up. Don’t recall much about the other two.

great band. I didn’t know they had reformed and were touring again. I guess losing Wells will end their run.

Pictures of the three vocalists at this link. Cory is the one with the stash.

This is one of those groups that I heard a lot on the radio. But can’t recall ever seeing on tv. None of the shows, Midnight Special, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert , Soul Train, or the others. They may have appeared and I missed them. But I watched nearly every weekend back then.

My favorite song has to be Joy to the World. Man they sang the heck out of that song.

The guy in the middle with the stash is Chuck Negron, not Cory Wells.

Here’s Cory leading off, “Eli’s Coming.” Pretty damn cool.

Weird. I’ve been listening to them quite a bit the past few weeks, and now this. I was thinking of starting a thread about them.

So I guess you missed it when Wells appeared on The Beverly Hillbillies?

Jane Hathaway seemed to dig him.
mmm

R.I.P. Cory

Three Dog Night, Chicago, and Blood Sweat and Tears were the soundtrack to my high school years. Since I had a terrific time in high school, those songs always bring a smile.

Thank you, Cory, for your role in that soundtrack. Rest well.
