, though. Looks simple enough, I’ve made yogurt, I plan to try cottage cheese (also known as paneer).
OK, I made some, and it’s … well, OK, probably good to put in a recipe, but it’s not like commercial cottage cheese. Kind of dry, needs to be mixed with cream or half and half. Unless you have spare gallons of dairy products, you’re probably better off buying cottage cheese.
Not the health conscious tip that seems to be the theme here, but fry up some Italian hot sausage, line a pita with cottage cheese, and put the sausage in the middle of it. The combination of the hot greasy meat and cool creamy cheese is great.
