Just curious. Here you have a young man at the height of physical fitness. Assume he has few week off in a city where no one knows him. He is offered a male stripper gig for bachelorette parties to make some easy cash.
Somehow the brass finds out. Is he subject to being disciplined for doing this on his off time?
Don’t know about now, but 30 years ago when I was in the Army one had to have permission from his or her commander to hold another job. Never heard of anyone being disciplined over something like that however.
Same when I was in the Navy. An off-duty job can’t conflict with your military duties. In the case of Seals, they’re subject to a one-hour recall (or at least the DEVGRU is). Can’t speak to the Ranger bunch.
Sure ;as long as it’s routed up the chain of command. They would really only want to know for security and clearance purposes (if you have a clearance). Every couple of years , one has to go through a re-investigation and if they’ll notice you paid off all you bills and you are living large but you haven’t got promoted in awhile, they could assume you were selling secrets, a terrorist, or simply hiding something. This is how it works in the intelligence field in the Navy and and is surely a part in SpecWar
What about pornography? There’s an entire genre of gay porn featuring servicemen (Marines especially), and not necessarily engaging in gay sex either. Think straight porn, but focused on the man instead of the woman or solo scenes or just really contrived reasons for nudity (like getting drunk and shooting firearms in the desert or playing football).
What rule on going commando, the seal I lived with wore those little synthetic sports jersey material shorts [the material that is woven full of tiny holes, and lined with a ‘panty’] and from what I saw when his buddies stripped down on a beach, they all wore something like it. [more or less thesewhen they were neither fab nor retro.]
