Rick Santorum has really surged the last couple of weeks and Romney seems to be really floundering. But this has happened over and over again Romney vs. Not-Romeny-Flavor-of-the-week. However, Santorum is pretty much the last man standing between Romney and a nomination and the Conservative base just cannot get themselves to vote for Romney, so could Santorum actually go the distance? While I think neither Santorum or Romney have much chance against Obama, I think Romney could at least put up a fight. IF Santorum wins the Republicans would basically be conceding the race, IMO.
Just so you know, there are already several threads in the election forums on Santorum, one about it being his “turn” as the anti-Romney.
