Could someone explaing this Arthur, King of Time and Space?

I hate it when I don’t get a joke. This says that no one will get it, so I’m guessing it’s really obscure. I’m also guessing it’s a bad pun. There seems to be a green deer involved.

Could someone put me out of my misery and explain the implied punchline?

Thanks in advance.

He’s going to skip it since it’s a teal deer (a.k.a. “tl;dr”, a.k.a. “too long; didn’t read”).

Three minutes? Not bad!

bows Thank you, thank you.

I bow before you for figuring that out. I’m also shaking my head over how big a reach the pun is. Is there any history of trying to pronounce tl;dr?

Oh, he didn’t make it up. I’ve been in plenty of internet communities and forums where they frequently talk about teal deer frolicking. That’s how I got the joke so fast.

I’m not sure if it’s a widely known internet meme, or if the author and I just run in the same circles.

The joke is explained on the very page linked in the OP. Scroll down just a little.
