Watching this clip it seems little more than a prop for her- certainly not producing any great sounds or whatever.
Did she have much instrument playing ability?

ETA: not an appearance at all, but a music video. Either way, the performance is faked.
From what I have heard from people who know her she is quite the good guitarist. She and her sisters were in a band before she went solo that was well-received (see her Wiki entry - can’t link today for some reason), and she still has a nice (if not blockbuster) career as a performer.
And to expound a bit on what Ogre said above, it’s a music video, not a live performance. Never ever confuse what you see on a video to real life (to this day I don’t know how many arguments I get into about Elvis Costello on Squeeze’s “Tempted” (“But he’s not on the video, so he can’t be the one singing harmonies!”)
