It seems like there’d be a much firmer ability to go “look, this is explicitly not the place for your hijacks, please take them elsewhere” if there were a forum for them. Or maybe even “take this to the Why Everyone Posting In This Forum (But Me) Is Deluded thread”, going on 37 pages. 
Maybe. It’s just that it’s already the general guideline of GD to stay on subject and that wouldn’t change by making a seperate thread. Some religious dicussions invite atheists and some don’t. Just make that clear in the title and the OP.
I’d just like to say thanks to all the nice, rational people who have posted in this thread 
If I do start a religious thread and it gets derailed, I’ll just think of you guys and feel a bit better. I mean that.
