Well, I’m back from camping with the kids and my connection seems to like me for the moment.
I of course will be wearing my cream and blue Hawaiian shirt and jeans as per my last three DopeFests.
I accquired a Coleman inflatable queen sized mattress and I must say it is tres confy so if anyone besides think is crashing at my place, there will be plenty of room - Queen pullout and now another bed on the floor.
(For the single female Dopers, reservations are still be accepted for the King in my room ;))
Now for the bad news: finances took a turn for the worse so I will be attending but mostly observing the alcohol intake. I will also be driving a lot and don’t need any untoward encounters with Chicago’s Finest.
As for Friday, I have the kids until about 6, then I will swing on down to Resi’s.
Lessee…don’t I have plans to be in yours Saturday night?
In case anyone is still interested I recently came across a source for Cubs tickets. The chaeap seats go for about $45. Wrigley Field is an Icon and $45 is a small price to pay if you’ve never been. I’ve been and I live here so I can still buy seats for a few late season games at face value. But if someone is a baseball fan and would just like to experience first hand this monument to the sport, I’d gladly accompany them on this honorable quest. But ya gotta let me know soon.
