I’m not the only one looking forward to not having to listen to their version of Yellow Taxi anymore, am I? And the new song doesn’t suck! Bonus!
Yup.
What’s the new song called? I’ll have to listen to it when it comes on.
Am I alone in thinking that the quality of their albums has steadily decreased from their first release, August and Everything After?
Not that it hasn’t been severely overplayed, but I really like the CC version of Big Yellow Taxi.
As to August and Everything After, Recovering the Satellites is actually my favorite CC CD.
You’re not alone, Mr. Hand. I loved August and everything after, but find at least half of the stuff on ‘Satellites’ unimpressive, bordering on obnoxious. Haven’t even bothered since and am not going to, unless someone talks me over.
Sacrilege of the worst order! I’m a big fan, you know
All their albums have included great songs. The album “This Desert Life” was superb. Check out Colourblind and I wish I was a girl are particularly moving (to me).
I’ll agree that the most recent ones don’t catch you as quickly as August & Everything After did, but are certainly worth giving the time to and listening to a few more times until they really do mean something to you.
IMHO, of course.
Oh man, I’m really feeling Anna Begins these days. It is in constant rotation on my iPod. Also feeling a little bit of Hard Candy love too. Just dropped $55 on the Mayer/Crows tour. I’m going to watch the Crows and then leave before Mayer takes the stage.
