In the fireplace no less. I’m pretty much a lurker here (I came across this on the snopes MB) and haven’t a very good ability at ranting, but this made me cry out loud, along with all the other various horrible attacks on innocents of late.
I didn’t have the heart to read the linked story, by the way. I just hope that all of these stories are the product of a media feeding frenzy, and that the world hasn’t suddenly gone crazy. I had to take a break from the news last September and I may have to take one now.
Warranted? Hell - encouraged! Beat them to within an inch of their miserable lives first, though.
Egads, I don’t know how to react. Part of me wants to find the two repugnant fucks and hurt them badly; another part of me wants to cry out of horror.
I believe in God and forgiveness and all that, but I have a hard time believing that even the most loving of gods could find room in His kingdom for two vile, sick, evil pieces of filth as these two. May He have mercy on their souls.
Goddam. I am gonna stop coming to the Pit because everytime I come here there is always a new post about some evil shit someone did on the first page.
How the fuck did they come to think that it would be a good idea to keep his bones in the house? I guess someone dumb enough to kill a baby is really that fucking stupid.
They should be boxed up with the murderer of that little girl and dropped in the middle of death row and let the lifers take thier toll.
I also share a birthday with the baby, and that article made me want to track those two sorry excuses for human beings down and do to them what they did to their poor, innocent, helpless baby. And I agree with Cessandra: what kind of friends WERE these people to not even notice the baby wasn’t there? This story just confirms what I have always believed; the majority of people are amazingly stupid. Except for us Dopers…
The Mount Holly Courier-Post says that the couple was living with a friend from December to June. The kid was killed sometime around April. So, one day the friends living with you have a kid, the next day they don’t, and you don’t think this is weird??
Now after the couple is kicked out for “partying” too much, they go to the grandmother’s house and she wants to know where the baby is. I’m guessing they can’t give her a good explanation, because she calls the cops and reports him missing. Then the article says that the police found the kid’s remains in the closet, but don’t say whose closet, so I am wondering if it was the idiot friend’s. If you are too dumb to notice that your roommates kid just disapears one day, I doubt you’d notice that they killed and cremated him in your home.
Now, after hearing that the kid was going to be reported missing by the grandma, the couple fled the state with ANOTHER friend and her two kids! Again, whether this friend knew what had happened is unclear, but apparently when they got to Florida she got uneasy and called her relatives to come get her. Instead, the police showed up. There is no explanation of why the police were knocking on their door, however, because the Florida police did not know the couple was wanted for murder until AFTER they arrested them for drugs found in the motel room.
There seem to be a lot of unanswered questions here.
