Couple Qs about MS Winders98 settings

Factual Questions
1

  1. Do you know how to disable the anoying little yellow boxes that pop up when you point at icons or (some??) other objects on the screen?

  2. Do you know how set the Programs part of the Start menu so the choices are listed in two columns, instead of one long column you have to scroll through.

Please, do tell.

I’ve tried to find these by looking, then resorting to Help, but, no luck.

For the annoying icon popup text, do this:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.

  2. Click Tools…Options.

  3. Click View tab.

  4. Uncheck “Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items”
