Cover of Steely Dan, "Do It Again"

I heard a jazz cover today, sounded really nice. I don’t have a clue who did it.
Do any Dopers know of it?

Was it vocal or instrumental? If instrumental, what instrument was featured? If it featured electric piano, it could have been Deodato. If it featured flute, it was probably Herbie Mann.

It was instrumental, and I just heard a bit of it, enough to recognize the tune. No flute. Both possibilities sound good, though. Thanks.

It might be Maynard Ferguson.

The soundtrack from the Jim Carrey movie Me, Myself & Irene features covers from Steely Dan’s oeuvre.

Do It Again is listed and it’s performed by Smash Mouth. I couldn’t get a clip but you might have heard the solo. I imagine if you had heard the vocals you would have been able to identify Smash Mouth.

It might be
Steely Dan in '06

or even
Steely Dan in '96

or else
The JuJu Orchestra

but surely not
Eumir Deodata
(sorry for the poor live arrangement)

None of the above, but JuJu sounds good. I’ll look them up.
The arrangement reminded me of Cannonball Adderly doing Fiddler on the Roof: "What the hell…is that Tradition?
