Covering holes in tile

I just want to check with the SDMB intelligence on this. At work we recently changed our toilet paper rolls and the old ones have left large holes which we think are allowing creepy crawlies into the bathrooms. The initial solution I came up with was grabbing some caulk at the Home Depot and covering them with that. It won’t be the prettiest thing but right now looks are second to keeping the creepy crawlies out.

Oh and in case you need to know, the holes are about nickel sized.

Any thoughts? Is this the best way?

Do they have any extra tiles stored anywhere?

You won’t want to try to fill a hole that big with just caulk. Buy some backer rod (it’ll be with the weatherstripping) and fill it to within a half inch of the surface with that first, then caulk. Or, you could use the expanding foam stuff (probably near the caulk, but may also be near the weatherstripping). Just overfill it slightly, then when it’s set up, trim it flush.
