Crack The Sky!

Who remembers this band? People from Baltimore and the east coast, I suspect. For those who don’t know, they were basically Steely Queen with naturally a heavy dose of Beatles.

They should have been huge. But for whatever reason, they were not, forever to remain a footnote in rock history.

But when I was a kid in Baltimore, 98 Rock played them alongside Sabbath and Zeppelin and Rush, as if they were rock stars in that league.

Who remembers Crack The Sky?

I’m only familiar with the first two albums. I love “A Night on the Town (With Snow White)”

Despite being in the UK, I got their first album because I liked the cover - especially the feely lettering. IMHO, the music never lived up to the cover.

I love this band! And I agree with you that they should’ve been huge. In honor of the OP, I’m gonna put on a Crack the Sky marathon in my house today and play all the albums back to back. Twice.

I loved their first few records (records? Man, that dates me!)

My Crack The Sky playlist is:

Hold On/Surf City

She’s A Dancer

Ice

Lighten Up, McGraw

Skin Deep

We Want Mine

Nuclear Apathy

Long Nights

Rangers At Midnight

Hot Razors In My Heart

It’s good stuff. Seek it out!

Oh, so much better than that.
