Don’t hit me! This really requires a factual answer…
Okay, so I’m watching this show [Crank Yankers] for the first time and I’m wondering about something… They’ve got this skit that involves calling some business and complaining that their product caused testicular enlargement, of elephantine proportions. The thing is, the puppet they use has gigantic, hairy testicles (clearly visible) protruding from his lap as he talks on the phone. How is it that they can get away with showing a puppets testicles, but not a man’s? I mean, I thought genitals in general were verboten on regular tv, especially during primetime (show airs at 8:30 EST here)? Am I misinformed?
It was a puppet with testicles that probably had so little realism as to suggest comedy.
I’ve seen dog and horse testicles on TV. What about that? Why not puppet testicles? You got something against puppets? Besides, all puppet parts are beautiful.
Comedy Central also regularly shows the full uncut version of South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut, which has the word “fuck” about a thousands times, not to mention showing Saddam Hussein’s cock (it was a real cock in the movie, not a cartoon one).
I’m sure a lot of people complain but Comedy Central is making a business decision.
I think because they are on cable, they aren’t subject to regulation by the FCC… ?
I agree, all puppet parts are beautiful! But seriously, those testicles looked realistic. All the way down to some black wiry threadbits made to look like miscellaneous pubic hair.
I didn’t realize that about South Park. I’m not a regular viewer of that show.
BTW–I’m not complaining (in case anyone is inclined to think I am). I thought the skit was hilarious and I’ll definately be checking out that show in the future. It just surprised me to see hairy puppet balls.
