Crazy For Love - My Suicidal Sweetheart

I just caught this 2006 indie, and I would’ve really enjoyed it, if they could’ve replaced the lead actress. It’s the story of two depressed people that meet and fall in love, sorta, in a mental institution after Max, David Krumholtz, attempts suicide. It’s there he meets a Grace, a heavily medicated schizo obsessed with suicide. Unfortunately, the casting went equally insane with the choice of Natasha Leonne, who turned in one of the most horrible attempts of acting and dragged the rest of the film into the gutter. I could not enjoy any scene with her in it, which is most of them. Why couldn’t they have gotten a real actress? Has anyone else seen this? It was almost saved by Tim Blake Nelson in four different roles, but then her smug mug would appear, and BAM!!! Now I’M depressed! Augh!

Wow - I am so alone in my Natasha Leonne hate…
