Apparently there are millions of spiders weaving an enormous web in a field in British Columbia. Are there any spider expert types here who have seen anything like this?

I’ve seen it beside my house. There’s about 10 meters of spiderweb that seems to be upkept by 20 odd spiders. Granted it’s on a smaller scale but the principle’s the same.

Really? Is the web that thick kinda carpet-y texture and everything? I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this, and for some reason it gives me the heeby-jeebies, all those spiders working away.
