I was curious about who first used the term Winter Of Our Missed Content to refer to the hacker-initiated board crash earlier this year. It is such a brilliant term that it has resulted in almost universal acceptance and use. I’ve seen it used over and over again. Yet I had never seen an attribution.
A simple search gave me the answer.
I simply want to give public recognition to widdershins for creating the name for the board crash in the Name the Straight-Dope-astrophe! thread.
(And thanks to red_dragon60 for having the idea to have a thread to name the SDMB catastrophe, that resulted in widdershins’ post.)
That’s all.
Carry on.
