Yes, the faint eyebrows and eyelashes along with the tightly pulled back hair give her a creepy hairless vibe when she faces the camera head on.
Right now Palm only has 2 phones but they are adding a 3rd model similar to the Pre. They no longer make PDAs. It seems they are betting the company on the Pre so a risky ad like these is not typical.
I don’t find the ads creepy, nor do I understand why they’re even noteworthy. It looks like a pale, not very expressive actress reading pseudo-profound lines from cue cards. Ooh, a CGI background, shiny! Is this really all it takes to make a stir these days?
I would be completely unsurprised to learn that the first comments about the “creepy” ad were seeded by the ad firm itself. And I’m NEVER buying a Palm Pre.

I had seen the commercial about three times over the course of one evening (I think I was watching Law & Order: SVU on USA or one of the USA protectorate channels) and got progressively more creeped out each time.
Looking back at my 10-06-2009 10:53 PM post to this thread, I calculate that I first Googled “palm pre girl creepy” (or whatever it was) at about 10-06-2009 10:50 PM.
She’s not really my type, but I wouldn’t kick her outta bed (and I definitely prefer her to Flo from the Progressive ads, FWIW).
