Criminal Minds. What did I miss?

The last couple of episodes involved Reid being charged with murder in Mexico.

Yet last week the next thing I saw he was being charged with it in the United States.

WTF?

I must have changed channels briefly or went to the john. But why on Earth is he being charged in the U.S. with a crime he committed in Mexico? Was this explained?

The doctor whose murder Reid was charged with had dual citizenship so the US managed to call dibs on prosecuting Reid.

As only a most casual viewer, usually of reruns, I’m curious if they’ve decided how to handle the Thomas Gibson kerfuffle.

Gibson’s fired, Hotch is in witness protection.

Huh? That’s not very realistic.

clealy I missed quite a bit.

maybe thats a good thing?

I quit watching when they started getting into “relationships” and “character development.” The blonde chick with the enormous boobs had just been shot, and Paget Brewster was being stalked by someone from her shady past. That’s the last I remember.

I stopped after eventually getting tired of ‘serial killer of the week’. So many of the scenes started to seem like torture porn and in the end I just had enough. I think I know now how Mandy Patinkin felt when he quit the show.

I know what you mean. One of the last episodes I watched started with a home invasion that freaked me and my teenaged daughter out. I barely made it through that one.

I was just asking about 1 specific episode.

It makes no sense that they could charge him in the U.S for a crime committed in a foreign country. If anyone knows of an actual law that allows for this, fight my ignorance please.
