Critique my salad dressing

In May and June I live on salad–I grow about 30 heads of various lettuces on my terrace (I’m one of the largest agri-businesses in NYC, I think, at least for those two months) and I try to put a heathy, low cal dressing on it. I’m pretty happy with my standard recipe, but I wonder if there are some items that I think are harmless but are loaded with calories. Here’s the dressing recipe:

healthy dollop of no-fat yogurt, mixed with
balsamic vinegar,
chopped scallion (or red onion)
minced garlic clove
low-fat parmesan cheese (rounded teaspoon)
two microwaved egg whites (sometimes a yolk slips in while I’m separating, but obviously I realize that and count it as an occasional treat)

Usually, I include some caloric treat (strips of anchovy, or croutons)–what I’m trying to figure is what’s the caloric cost of these little treats, or the occasional egg yolk, or the parmesan. I try to tell myself that I can eat all I want of this salad and I do, but since I never bothered to find out what the deal with my somewhat pathetic treats is, maybe I’d be better off stuffing myself with a cheeseburger and fries.

What’s the verdict? Eat all I want, eat only a normal sized portion, or eat a cheeseburger?

Eat all you want, unless you want too much. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dried anchovy, ground up fine, will add some fishy goodness without many calories. It’s about 220 calories per 100 g, so a fish or two will only add maybe 10 cal.

Um, why are you asking strangers on the internet? The labels with the nutrition facts are in your kitchen. Here’s the USDA’s nutrition information database if you want additional information.

I figure they might have useful links for me.

Thanks.
