Critter Cam out back.

More birds, deer, cats and stuff. See what you can see.

About 57? out of 700+ photos.

I love the one with the male and female red-bellied woodpeckers. Some of my favorite birds. Even if they do wake me up every morning.

They are pretty aren’t they?

I also love watching them here. Big, jaunty, noisy, flashy things. If I could find a nest, I’d love to watch them.

I like a lot of these :

The ones of the birds flying directly toward the camera with the blurred wings are really cool. And those pileated woodpeckers are huge … crow size, maybe?

Bigger, more like a large hawk but not the largest. ( like a skinny chicken? ) I don’t know weight or feather fluff so it is hard to tell & I never studied up on them.

I am amazed at how small the roadrunners around here are. Are they all small out West also?

No roadrunners of any size here in the Southeast! I’m still waiting for the armadillos we were promised - they’re supposed to be spreading this way.

I’ve put our critter cam out again after a hiatus - it’s focused on the bird bath, so we’ll see who shows up.

I have seen armadillos in Arkansas. They dig up new transplants looking for worms.

N/W Arkansas is not up to Texas number per acre … yet… But we seem to be gaining fast judging by the roadkill.

A real PITA near Petit Jean State park in central Arkansas whole we lived there.

Added 14 of Zeus. should start here:

If you prefer circles or arrows or no help at all finding stuff of interest, let me know. If you don’t care, no-reply means that, or you don’t look anymore. Bawahahaha

Does not bother me either way, I do this for fun.

Be well & Happy

Are our Arkansas woodpeckers typically that large? What are you feeding them?

I liked Gus’ description of the size of the pileated woodpeckers upthread - ‘skinny chicken.’

Mr. and Mrs. Red Belly are back! Love that new pic of them. We have those here, and they are about the size of a large blue jay.

I’ve had my critter cam focused on the bird bath here, but with all the rain we are getting, all I’ve gotten on camera are the squirrels and baby rabbits cruising back and forth underneath.

Are you a fellow Arkansasan?

No, I am in the Southeast.

And she has gotten some cool deer pictures.

Bunnies & squirrels need their 15 minutes of fame too. Post a few pictures.
