Those are some well-fed looking deer! Hope that helps them get through the winter.
And there has been a bumper crop of acorns around here this year.
Bois d’Arc (pronounced bō dark) is another name for Osage Orange. So you were right about that one. I heard some people call them crab apples as well but that name is also used for something else.

Amazing - $100 now gets you what was once the exclusive domain of Big Budget researchers.
Both neat AND scary - depending on their use.
Down on Petit Jean Mountain several people have gotten photos of bears, a black mountain lion sized cat and other things that the authorities swear and by damn scream that could not be there. Bawahahaha
Up here in N/W AR, I get a lot less variety where I am at. Bout 50 miles east in the mountains you see bears frequently while running the back roads.
For today’s viewing I have 4 so as to not bore you.
You can always got to the main page and look at what ever.
All albums that have CC or CritterCam in the titles are pics from the trail camera set up in different places. Enjoy.
I wonder what the hawk was doing there?
A fellow Arkansan!
I thought the scenery in some of your pictures was pretty nice looking.
yes, it is a ‘first time’ for me to see one on the ground for ‘corn?’ and facing off with a crow. Wish I had it on video for that one.
