CRM for non techie business decision makers

Long story short, I got pulled in to moderating a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) all day customer informational event on Monday.

Looking for some general info on CRM for a business decision maker. The event is not to talk about a particular product. Rather it’s more around changing mindsets for a foreign company in China that has a very manual process for sales. The whole aim is around changing the mindset of the company to become customer centric, and sales focused. It will not be about IT or a particular CRM product.

Anybody have a useful link or two that lays out why a BDM should be looking at implementing CRM, what their organization will get out of it?

some of my search has turned up “christian revialist movement” :o and a lot of job postings…
