I hear ya , Hon, but the humor tech works better with at least a coupla decades of cold flesh tucked 'neath the serious news announcement.
Also, a thread of this type would be more well-received, I’d bet, if you picked a less popular person to make sport of. Most people really liked Steve Irwin’s public persona, and are sorry he’s dead; therefore they don’t want to be reminded of his untimely demise, and won’t see the humor in your OP.
