Croissant or Scone

Is that really a croissant in Clark’s left hand? It looks like a scone to me.

I meant his other left hand.

What is in his usual left hand is pretty obscure but it certainly could be an eclair. As for his other left hand, that looks like a pretty typical looking croissant to me. True, a croissant ought to be crescent shaped, but in fact, most look about like that.

Could very well be a croissant. Definitely isn’t a scone. Does your vote depend on it?

It looks like one of those filled croissants.

Real New Hampshirites don’t eat croissants…

or scones!

That’s definitely a croissant.

Looks like a used condom and a jellyfish in his left hand.

In his other left hand is a Croissant - one can clearly see the folded over puff pastry.

One hand is definitely holding a croissant, the other is definitely holding something masquerading as an eclair. (More likely a donut with cream filling and a bad attempt at ganache on top, but let’s not quibble.) And the photojournalist who took the picture probably got a better look or asked, to be sure, in order to provide the caption.

No, he’s just glad to see you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I vote for filled croissant. Why the hell would anyone want to fill a perfectly good croissant. Guy’s a jerk, if you ask me. Probably a frenchy. Boycott the sucker.
Peace,

OTOH, the local Safeway occasionally sells croissant-doughnuts. Deep fried crispy croissant flavour soaked in icing sugar… Mmmmmmmm…

That would likely be a benay (bignet? I don’t know the proper spelling) from New Orleans. A deep fried, very light pastry covered in powdered sugar. They are best if eaten within a couple hours of being cooked. Sooner the better.
More likely an imitation Safeway version.
