The helicopter from the deck and ambulance to the hospital was the cruise line. The hospital and Airlift to San Diego were her responsibility.
Yes, but your insurance is useless & every procedure is a direct charge on your room charge (which is usually linked to a credit card) . And no, I wasn’t pregnant. :dubious:
As it was, I’d fallen and snapped my wrist to a 90 degree angle in a way wrists shouldn’t bend 90 degrees. I was a little put off as I’d walked down 2-3 decks to the ‘sick bay’ with my arm a mess to find that the med center was closed. A half corridor away were two officers in dress whites talking about something or another. I remember interrupting them and asking, “Excuse me. I need a Dr but the Sickbay is closed. Could you tell me how I could get some medical attention between office hours?”
Thats how I learned that even on ships you are supposed to dial ‘911’.
But use your good hand.
And, FTR people, if my arm/wrist is broken and I’m not shrilly shrieking like a 9 year old girl with concert tickets, then maybe you shouldn’t be either? Jeez.
I thought this was Cafe Society and wondered when they started discussing amateur porn movies there.
On the other hand, the ship’s electrician may be a very hot Dutch man who will fulfill other needs for you. Or so I’ve heard.
Not to be a downer, but there’s no guarantee that you’ll be pregnant by any particular point in time. If you start postponing life events in anticipation, you may find yourself stuck in a cycle of waiting.
You might look into whether trip insurance would cover a pregnancy.
