I’m a 27 year old woman who just moved to CT from San Francisco. I don’t know many people in the area, and I’m getting a little cabin fever. Other than movies, what is arounf to do in Fairfield county or thereabouts?
A bit about things I dig:
I like board games (especially scrabble), weird art, crafts, cacaphony stuff, geeky events, comics, general nautiness. I’m Jewish. I like to go to clubs, but not trendy dance ones with men in shiny shirts and gold chains. I like 80s music. I (http://www.postcardx.net) Postcard X. I revere the Simpsons. I’m willing to polka.
Bacially, I like stuff. Can you recommend stuff? Or people who may also enjoy stuff?
this would have been written much better if I’d slept much last night.
thanks, ophelia
There are some good bars and nightlife in both Norwalk and Stamford. Norwalk has an aquarium with an IMAX that could be fun.
Where in Fairfield are you? If you’re near the NY border, I could offer more ideas.
Sure you could come out to my neck of the woods it’s only an hour away…Southeastern CT is lovely…Mystic is a really nice town right on fisher’s island sound…lots of boats and marina’s some really cool little pubs…Daniel Packer inn is Fantastic…
There are museums and a really nice acquarium, bigger than the one in Norwalk. My wife and I are members it’s a really nice acquarium…
I agree that CT can be pretty bad (especially in middlebury where all you can do is drink and tip cows) but if you want to do something that involves boating (obviously not in this weather) branford is the place.
