Ctrl+Enter problem

I have a little computer problem here. I use Ctrl+Enter quite a bit to add www and .com in my address bar. A week ago this stopped working. It isn’t the Ctrl key, all relevant functions still work. Is there anyone that knows how to fix this on Win XP? I know this is a really trivial problem, but I’d still appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

Almost named this thread “Bush, Saddam, Clinton and the -gry word”… but then quickly came to my senses

If you are using Opera 7 the function works differently then in IE. It would help to know which browser you are using.

I’m using IE 6.0. Should have put that in the OP.

Found this on the net:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoCo
mplete]
"Append Completion"="no"
"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"

Changing "Append Completion" from "no" to "yes" will restore the function.

Do we still need disclaimers about messing with the Registry? If so, usual disclaimer applies.

In netscape 7 preferences, tabbed browsing, select the super duper ‘control+enter’ option?
