The thread on gifted and talented classes unearthed a few folks who qualfied for Johns Hopkins’ CTY program and/or actually attended.
I went to Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA from 1986-1990, first session only.
Anyone else out there attend?

Yeah! Yeah! I KNEW someone else out there was in the CTY program!
I won a scholarship to Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA) which became the first of the five universities I’ve attended (thus far). I took two courses in Caculus. (Slightly off the subject, but during the second course one of my classmates was former high school colleague Jimmy Shaffer, who some of you might remember from alt.fan.cecil-adams.)
The really annoying thing about the whole deal was that at the awards ceremony they made a big display about two students who had gotten 700 on the math section. They were brought up on stage, told that they were going to meet the President at a reception in the Rose Garden, etc. And there I was sitting in the audience, grumbling in the knowledge that I had scored 690. Still, these things prepare you for disappointments later in life.
Oh yeah!
I was at Dickinson college for 4 summers, 1984-1987. I took all writing courses. I also spent one summer at F+M, taking logic with a guy who had creeping athletes foot.
