Castro’s sole raison d’etre is portraying himself as David to America’s Goliath. For the first time in his life, he is unable to have a very enthusiastic audience among the “left” in Europe, Latin America, and Canada for his anti-American diatribes. Only an extremist would dare denounce the United States in front of the world now. Even Khadaffi is behaving himself. So Castro is sort of lost. He may very well have to start blaming the Dominican Republic for everything now.
I always thought the USA should call his bluff. He has been griping for the last of 10 years that the US embargo is the source of all Cuba’s woes. So lift the embargo. Either way it will undermine Castro. If Cuba is still an economic disaster - Castro can no longer blame the yanqui. And for some reason if Cuba does improve - it will be because of trade with the USA and in spite of Castro.
Very easily you illogical fuck. I am sure you condemn terrorism. I am sure that you would accept that there would be other ways to fight terrorism without declaring war on it, even if you do not personally believe those ways to be the most appropriate. Therefore terrorism and the war on terrorism are not the only possibilities, and they are not opposites. It is entirely possible to not support either. The logical fallacy is yours, not Fidel’s.
