I posted while back about attempting to start home canning and you guys were quite helpful in convincing me I might not kill everyone who tried it sooooo.
While at Costco the a couple weeks ago I spotted this package labeled “Cocktail Cucumbers” which were pickling cucumbers so I picked up a bag and went to work.
Ended up with 4 8oz jars total
one bag of little cukes from Costco
2 mediumish onions (white)
about a cup or so of garlic cloves
2 habaneros. (not nearly enough, I bought 3 but one was browning on the inside so I skipped it, next time I will probably use 6)
Chop everything up into relish size bits and follow a basic canning recipe. I searched each one of the ingredients and found that garlic takes the longest so that was my cook time on the water bath (30min) I used cider vinegar because I only thought I had white wine vinegar.
It came out good, gave away one jar and the other 3 are almost gone.
So does anyone else have a canning recipe to share?
