I need to know, does anyone know of a brand of sparkling grape juice that doesn’t have processed sugar in it (ie- sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, or normal corn syrup for that matter?) Or at least has it in miniscule ammounts? I’m being asked to provide for thanksgiving, and my google-fu has turned weak.
How 'bout grape juice and seltzer? It can be mixed in any ratio, and you and your drinkers will know exactly how much sugar is in it, even the fructose from the grapes.
Just keep in mind that all fruit juices contain carbs that are readily absorbed and bump one’s glucose levels up. So for a diabetic, all fruit juices need to be watched. Splitting hairs between whether or not they’re full of fructose, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, processed sugar, or 'sweetened with all-natural honey" doesn’t do much for short-term consumption effects.
So be diligent and count the carbs, if you’re a diabetic on insulin. Then dose appropriately.
