I live 5 mins walk from that place. Whenever Hanshin Tigers win the finals the crowd goes crazy down there, getting naked and jumping in the canal. But there’s NO WAY IN HELL I’d ever jump in that water. I’m not even sure if you can (legally/scientifically) call it ‘water’.

Incidentally, that place is where they filmed a few scenes from the movie Black Rain, and is also said to be part of the insipration for the Japanese district in Blade Runner.
