My sister-in-law recently sent me pics of her baby and family dog. They are adorable. These two are so funny the way they cuddle with each other and play.
There was a pit threadrecently that went on for like a dozen pages about the evils of big mean dogs around children. Wonder what those people think of the relationship between these two.
Anyway, here’s the pics:
BTW, these weren’t staged or anything. This was one of those “look at those two! Get the camera!” moments.
[sup]Oh, and see how I said “sister-in-law” instead of some lame-ass attempt at being cute with Bear_Sis or some other equally annoying username construction? See how easy it was? Take notes people. Yea, you know who you are. . .[/sup]
What a lucky baby to have such a dog in it’s life. What a lucky dog to be so obviously loved by it’s family. What a blessed family…and, of course, awwwwwwww!
Beautiful baby and dog, I hope they have many good years together.
Jeepers, maybe I’ve had a bit of wine after work and then a bit more at home, but that actually made my eyes prick with tears. So much cruelty and hatred in this world (and two threads on horrible crimes against dogs, not to mention CNN on child sex slavery)… Well, sometimes pictures like that really, really are nice to see.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I used to have a dog that loved me like that when I was growing up - a collie named Clinker. Apparently, he used to let me teethe on his nose with nary a growl. Until my mother saw it and freaked, that is. He lived until I was thirteen and we were best buds. Every kid should have a loyal canine companion/protector.
Dammit Bear, those were great. I think the second one in the first group needs to be framed.
Our Newfoundland was two years old when our oldest son was born. Angus loved him from the outset. Some of the professional pictures I had taken of Zack when he was six months old were with Angus! Some people freak when they see a 170 lb dog with a baby, but they don’t know our dogs.
Every kid needs a great dog, and every dog needs a great kid.
Side note and probably weepy hijack- Angus is very old now and we will probably lose him this year. We have made sure that this is the best year of a great life for him. The other night, my husband was cuddling with Angus on the couch, and I heard him whisper that next time, he will be the dog and Angus could be the boy. Sweet man.
