So let's show pictures of our pets!

So can you tell I got a crazy new digital camera for Christmas? Time to share pet pictures. I’m sure we do this often, but who cares? They are our baaaabies. Hubby and I are childless by choice and have these critters (all rescues) instead. Why, yes, they are spoiled, why do you ask?

Annie and Allie

St. Peter the Patron Saint of Chaos AKA “Petey”

Lil’ Bit (yes, she only has one eye)

Kitty

And since we were just at my parents’ house for Christmas:

Their Dog: Andrew

Their Cat: T.C.

Their Birds: Scarlett and Rhett

Now I want to see yours!!!

That picture of Annie and Allie made me laugh. I don’t have any pets, but my neighbors recently got some new puppies. Here’s the neighbor kid holding the smallest puppy.

Beautiful Eclectus pair! What a pain, though, to keep, you have my respect.

They live with my mom now, but:

Lunabrat

Oreobrat

Snickerpops

Guinea the Pig

And, because she also eats a lot, messes up the living room, and sheds hair:

Kid in a funny hat

Yes, I’m not too fond of the birds. They will be willed to someone else… The male is a lover, but the female is psychotic.

Paris and Vienna.

Will them to me please. Kthxbye.

Be warned. I’ve got about a thousand pictures on my camera, and most of them are of Minnie, the Prettiest Dog in the World.

Getting some sun.

Look what I can do.

This camera thing is fascinating.

Tuckered out.

This is a great pillow.

I’m such a proper lady.

Enough with the pictures already.

This is my good side, right?

Getting a hug from my mama.

This is what they call puppy dog eyes.

It’s good to be queen.

My Santi when he was a kitten. He is much bigger now, although he was a pretty robust kitten.

My kitties:
Ulysses (aka “Lysses”)
Genevieve (aka “Viva”)
Felicity (aka “Flizz”)
Sunny (aka “Sun Buns” or “Sunny Bunny”) who passed away earlier this month

Here’s my cat Caligula (let me know if this doesn’t open): Cat we had to kill last Tuesday. I miss him every day.

Pokey the turtle. A little over a year old, was a pet that was abandoned to a friend that has, among other pets, 10 cats, three fish tanks, a dog, etc… They knew I lived alone and asked if I’d like a pet. I love the little guy, he’s definitely got a personality.

Named by my mom’s 2nd grade reading class (I had no huge care one way or the other on the name, my mom had called around when I got him and she suggested that the kids name it). Thank Og that was the winning name, the runners up were Mermaid and Sparkles.

This is Poohbah, one of my former cats, who passed away a few years ago. He was a Maine Coone, extremely affectionate and loyal.

Grace and flying Andy.

Boy, some of these are great pictures.

The best of our cocker spaniel Jazz.

A set of pics of our Jazz.

Well, they’re on my facebook page, and I am a member of both SD groups, but I ain’t going to post an open link here…

I am clicking away with a big grin on my face! Loved Flying Andy especially.

Here’s Muffin.

One more here. She was visiting relatives and they made her her own beret for a beatnik party!

Pratchett has disdain for snow. He’s 3/4 Maine Coon and weighs over 20 pounds. He’s a hellraiser. He and SpaceDawg were best friends, and he misses her(yes, that’s a pile of her fur he’s rolling in. Malemutes shed. A lot. Twice a year.)

Stiggs, His Imperial Fluffiness, on the other hand, laughs at all weather except raging heat. He’s our old man, he’s twelve and I hope he’s getting more fond of being alap cat. He’s very independent and rules the immediate neighborhood, regulating on all the other cats who defer to him absolutely.

Widget is now senior dog since SpaceDawg died this summer. He’s aborder collie cross and true to his heritage he herds things–mostly cats. He, along with my daughter’s dog who comes from the same rescue, form the core nucleus of the Black Dog Brigade. He’s an extremely intelligent dog who, had he thumbs, would probably be able to conquer the world if only he could escape his own angst.

Newest addition to the family is Bear, a lab/husky mix who’s about a year old. We adopted him from a nice young couple who got him from the Humane Society, thinking he’d be a good candidate tolive in an apartment with no fenced yard. He does have lovely house manners (aside from thinking of cat food and the garbage can as a smorgasbord) but his energy level is such that he really needs room to run and a buddy to wrestle with to keep him from going bonkers. His nickname is “The Enthusiast,” because he’s so wholeheartedly into any fun thing anyone else is up to–sometimes this gets him in conflict with the other critters, though.

Here’s Pumpkin.

Please think good thoughts for her. She’s 13 and it appears she’s going into heart failure. The last 4-5 days have not been great ones. We hope the vet can work out some meds to help her for awhile, but if not …

Here’s Tough.

He’s young and healthy and makes me laugh every day. I’m so glad we have him.
