This thread reminded me of Cutey Bunny comics . She is ‘The world’s first African-American rabbit superheroine’. I know I have the first four comics, and I may have all five. I’d have to look.
From Wikipedia :
Cutey Bunny (sometimes labeled “QT Bunny” for short) is secretly Cpl. Kelly O’Hare, a special agent for the United States, based in Washington, D.C. and employed by an unspecified branch of the United States Armed Forces. She is dispatched on special missions, usually directly by the President, and encounters action and adventure; frequent adversaries include Vicky Feldhyser, a kinky lesbian fox who’s described as a “four-ple” agent (one level beyond “triple”) for various intelligence services, and “Uncle Joe”, a transparent caricature of Joseph Stalin.
She gets her powers from an amulet given to her by the Sun god Ra – who is a bit of a doofus. (He sees a submarine and warns the captain, ‘Sir! Sir! Your barge is sinking!’)
I loved the series. As a 20-something, I thought the comics were hilarious. It would be fun to see a Cutey Bunny superhero film.
I wonder if that was a play on Cutie Honey ?
Per the linked article. ‘As her name suggests, Cutey Bunny’s powers and concept are a pastiche of Go Nagai’s manga creation, Cutey Honey.’
Oh, I loved the comic, as well! Good memories.
Never heard of either of them but this explains some Babs Bunny fan art I saw many years ago. “Lovely Warrior, Cutey Bunny!” Thanks for that.
Here are a couple of Cutie Honey live-action adaptations.
They aren’t high art.

They aren’t high art.
But probably artful if you are high enough.

I’m pretty sure I still have them too; I’ll have to check. Fantastic character; awesome comic.
Shouldn’t the Sun God have been Frith, not Ra?
