Tell me about this theory. Is it simply a popular notion of behavioural science from the 40’s and 50’s? Is it still applicable or credible today?
How is it related to Chaos Theory and the various technical disciplines it’s associated with, like programming and mathematics and physics and the whole darn shebang including human behaviour?
Umm, cybernetics is not a “theory” from the past, but rather a science of communication and control. It consists of many different branches and is intersects with computer science, mathematics and information theory. Basically a lot of the modern theoretical computer science would properly be called cybernetics. In fact, some universities in other countries still refer to computer science as “cybernetics”, a more proper term for the field if you ask me.
