It took less than 7 seconds to find this thread, in which Ed responds directly to the problem. Now, maybe you personally didn’t get a response but then again as you pointed out this was never your problem to begin with.

1. My post showed that the problem was being addressed and that there is an honest attempt to solve it. It has been acknowledged more than once that this is an ongoing problem, and The Powers That Be have asked for the posters cooperation in isolating which ads are the trouble makers. Nothing is being hidden or ignored, as far as i can tell.
2. Ask away, but I’m not much for jumping through hoops on demand, especially for someone who seems to be posting for recreational outrage.

Since the Moderator that you are attempting to question is currently off-line, repeated requests for answers from her might not be productive. Also,since she might not be in the habit of doing vanity checks to see if anyone is talking about her every decision, you might want to send an IM.

The OP removed any content or meaning of the thread when he posted nothing more than “Nevermind”. Threads with no content or meaning get closed. That what it says in the rules you agreed to.

They pretty much always get banned. They way we do it now is that they first get a chance to get their message out to a wider audience and their pet website gets a few mentions, then they get banned.

I never said I was, and if you actually feel that I am presenting myself in such a way why don’t you quit whining about it and report me?

My personal position is that:

1. It would be more work for the moderators, and
2. It’s the house rules that I agreed to, and I don’t find this rule to be anywhere near unbearable or oppressive.

Actually, I believe you were mod-noted(no warning issued, though) for

1. Saying “fuck you” to a poster in the BBQ Pit, and
2. Criticizing the actions of a moderator in The BBQ Pit instead of ATMB.

I’ve said this a few times before to people that have tried the same argument: The last time I checked, the words under THE STRAIGHT DOPE banner at the top of the page didn’t read “Whatever dude-it’s all cool”.

I never speak for the administration, and this continuous whining and insinuating that I am “junior modding” when I dare to give an opinion that supports the board is rather monotonous and it isn’t going to intimidate me into keeping quiet. If you want to accuse me of “junior modding”, why not just report it?
