D.C. Area Homebrewers: Free Stuff

I have not brewed a batch of beer in years, and have pretty much given up drinking. So, my loss can be your gain.

Free to good home:

1 copper wort chiller (drop in the brewpot kind);

1 7.5 gallon carboy;

3 cappers, one lever and 2 bench;

1 bag of caps (probably a couple hundred).

6 cases of bottles (with a few missing), most long necks, scattered Harp and Guinness, a few Rolling Rolling Rocks for color. These are the good cases used for returnable bottles. No, they are not all nice and clean. I emptied about 4 cases of beer (it was about 5 years old, so it was nothing to cry over, except for the wasted opportunities to get wasted.)

You pick it up and take it away, I get room in exchange. All I ask is that one person takes it all.

E-mail is in profile. Please let me know by the 15 of February, first come first served. Otherwise the glass goes to recycling, and the rest gets trashed (except for the copper).

I found even more stuff. 2 CO2 tanks (1 small, 1 large) and a regulator.

Also all free.

I wish I could say it’s going fast.

I’ve wanted to pick up homebrewing for a while, but I don’t live in DC-area Maryland anymore, don’t have a way to get there by the 15th, and don’t really have the time to learn how to homebrew. I would love a CO2 tank for making Italian sodas, though, if there’s any way you could ship that. I know it’s not how you want to do it, but it sounds like you’re up against a wall.

If you’re in a bind, I can post on the brewboard… You’ll get takers in no time.

Thanks folks, the stuff has a new home awaiting its arrival.
