She’s an NPC in Faerun, and is introduced as the “author” of one of Elminster’s Ecologies concerning the Serpent Hills. All the information I’ve been able to find on her is that she’s older than she looks, a bookish wizard, afraid of snakes, and a friend of Elminster.
The party in my current campaign is heading off to the Hills in search of almost certain peril, and I’d like to have them run into her as if she was doing the research for the Ecology, and wanders into camp so she can talk to somebody who doesn’t have scales for a while, but I’d like to know if she’s, like, famous or something, or one of the Seven Sisters, or King Azoun’s second cousin twice removed on his sister’s side, or what.
I checked on the WOTC message boards but they had no clue.
Not owning the “Elminster’s Ecologies” volume (EEII) with her treatise in it, I’m going on a Google search. The only thing that comes up is that book. I’m fairly well-read in (pre-3rd Ed) Realmslore, and I don’t remember her ever being mentioned back then.
Now, all bets are off if she’s described in EEII as Azoun’s long-lost great-aunt who secretly keeps the kingdom from flying apart by raising Alusair’s charisma to 28 permanently or something…
I can tell you that she’s definitely NOT one of the Seven Sisters, though. Those are: Storm Silverhand, Dove Falconhand, Sylune (deceased), Alustriel, Laeral, the Simbul, and Qilue Veladorn. Not a Lark in the bunch.
Of course, if you WANTED her to be Azoun’s great-aunt with the magical kingdom-holding-together powers, you could. You’re the DM.
