I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone who isn’t a total lost case will voluntarily take a drug with such possible effects. This kids’ father obviously did.
For one thing, some people are stupid. For another, there have been so many Reefer Madness-style lies spread about the Evils of Drugs that I expect a lot of people will dismiss even accurate warnings until it’s too late. A variation on the Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Hmm, now I understand a little better why Adam Carolla constantly rants about what a hellhole Bakersfield is.
