I’m reasonably sure I read a novel in the last few years where someone was thinking the chorus of “Daddy Wouldn’t Buy Me a Bow-Wow.” I don’t know the tune for this song, and this chorus runs through my head with annoying frequency as a staccato chant. Any idea in which novel I read this, so that I can look at the paragraph to see what my unconscious mind thinks is so important?
None of the books referencing it in Google Books are it; none of the popular references in the Wikipedia article are it. Prior to searching, I had never seen lyrics to this song. Thanks.
