I had a long post composed for a thread, and when I went to add it, the thread was gone. Disappeared, missing, lost in the aether.
I’m not that surprised, the OP took a stupid and jerkish position.
I suppose I could use what I wrote to start a new thread, but it would probably “attract the wrong sort of person”, and it definitely built on the missing thread.
I hate when that happens!

This would be feeding a troll, yes. (I have no idea what thread you’re discussing but when a thread is wished to the cornfield it’s done for a reason.)
Most often, cornfielded threads are spam, not trolls. We get several spammers a day, but it’s not all that often that a troll comes along that’s that obvious that it gets nuked right away. It looks like we’ve had a couple of attempted socks and a couple of new trolls banned since the start of April, but 27 spammers in just the past two days (yesterday was apparently busier than usual for spam).
Well, I’m two inches taller, a better dancer, and much more fun to be with.
Are you the “Meet in a bar, spend the weekend having wild kinky sex, but disappear by Monday” wrong sort of person?
Or the “Meet in a bar, follow me to my car, do terrible things and no one finds my body” wrong sort of person?
