Daisy Chain - does that still mean what I think it means?

Only heard that term in the lesbian sense.

Those who think of the term mostly as sexual, did you grow up where daisies grew commonly and were easily found. Daisies always grew in the school fields when I was in school, so real daisy ‘daisy chains’ were commonly made by girls during school playtimes.

When I was in high school, back during the Age of Aquarius, a daisy chain was the female equivalent of a circle jerk (a bunch of guys sitting in a circle masturbating each other.) Both were purely hypothetical; no one had actually seen either, let alone participated. When I was in college, I learned that a daisy chain (a sexual one, that is) was females giving each other oral sex. I actually saw a group of seven coeds try it at a party once after the beer had erased all semblance of inhibition. It was pee-my-pants funny (maybe it was just the beer, I don’t know) but there was nothing erotic about it. Most of the girls did it just to prove they could overcome the “ick factor,” and were mortified later that they’d participated.

Standing makes it easier. Or at least I’ve heard…

So how do you get your pelvis facing one direction and your face 180 degrees to the person’s pelvis behind you? I’m trying to picture a bunch of men with their torsos all twisted around trying to form a circle of people so that everyone gets some… It doesn’t seem practical or comfortable.

That’s the first time I have heard of the sexual connotation. I’ve always known about the usage relating to children making strings of flowers, and I’ve been aware of the electronic/computing uses of the term since leaving college.

What seems strangest here is the degree of separation between the different meanings; for those of you that have never heard of the meaning relating to actual chains of daisy flowers, I’m curious… what then did you think was the reason for/meaning of the word ‘daisy’ in the phrase?

You’re making this way too complicated.

There are two ways to do it. The easiest is with everyone on his side, with every other person facing the opposite direction. The other way is for every other person to be on his back, and the others on their stomachs. Obviously, the more people there are, the easier it gets, since the curvature of the circle is less.

As long as it’s limited to oral sex, it should work with any combination of genders.

Same here.

It’s all SCSI to me, though I am intrigued.
