The SD Chainword Massacre

On another message board I used to participate in, we posted a lot of “game” topics. I came up with one called Chainword Massacre that we had a lot of fun with. I ran it by StoryTyler in an email and she said she thought you guys would like it. (So if you don’t, it’s all her fault - hehehe. Just kidding, Tyler :)) Anyway, here goes…

The object of Chainword Massacre is to create a chain of connecting words, each playing off of the previous word. I’ll start the topic with a single word. The first person will use that word in combination with another word and then create 2 more connecting word combos following it. Then the next person will play off of the previous person’s last word, adding 3 more word combos of their own.

Example…

Start word: Physical

1st reply:
Physical Therapy
Therapy Group
Group Sex

2nd reply:
Sex Machine
Machine Shop
Shop Talk

The next person would play from Talk, and so on.

If you guys like this, we can try making teams and doing it in competition the way we used to play it on the other board. When we did it as a competition there were a few rules though, like no posting back-to-back replies, no repeating previously used word combos, etc. There was a time limit and the team with the longest chain in that time period won. But for now, I’ll just do this one post and see how it goes over. Ok, are you ready?

The start word for this edition of SD Chainword Massacre is…
