Because today she went in and had her “big girl operation” ensuring that we won’t have any puppies running around the house in the future. Right now she’s probably pretty knocked out on meds at the vet, but I bet she’ll be feeling a little rought tomorrow.
I feel like a horrible human being for inflicting this pain on her. There are a few hambones waiting at home for when she feels a little more chipper.
This slice of my life was brought to you by no one in particular. Advertising space is available for a very low rate.
You are, in the long run, doing a good “doggy dad” thing. Too many unloved puppies and kittens around to allow every animal to breed.
I don’t agree with those who anthropomophize and say “they miss out on giving birth”. Humbug. The only thing they miss out on is the potential for their litters to become unloved and unwanted. A sad fate for any little critter.
Good doggy dad!!
Hope she’s up and around soon! She’ll love them hambones!
Why did you go and do that? It would be so much easier for the studs in her life to go in for a little snip than it is for her to undergo major surgery.
Why are the boys so afraid to go under the knife?
Mullinator - I guess you did the right thing if Daisy’s boyfriend’s moms or dads aren’t responsible enough. When I said “studs” I didn’t mean to imply she was a loose woman or anything.
Surely your dear, sweet grandmother wasn’t looking to have another litter…er, child at her time of life? My own dear, sweet mother had this operation some years ago, and she’s been happy with the results.
